Made With PaperI normally draw people and places from my surroundings—the everyday sites I encounter in Boston and Provincetown. I draw strangers living their lives so that maybe I can understand their stories, just a little. When I saw this image on Monday’s Boston Globe front page, I felt an immediate depth of sadness and despair. I go on my train rides and my walks in peaceful places. But others are taking different walks that I cannot bear to imagine. I made myself draw this picture. I needed to feel the lines of it.
